This is HN, full of as many ideologues as anywhere else, perhaps on average of higher intellect - though as Jordan Peterson mentions in Beyond Order - intelligent ideologues are the most dangerous.

And plausible deniability only goes so far - shallow thought, propaganda only goes so far until it meets adequate critical thinking; reminds me of Jordan Peterson in his last book Beyond Order - it's the intelligent ideologue that's the most dangerous.

Yes, one of the central points of his books ("Maps of Meaning", "12 Rules for Life", and "Beyond Order") is that meaning in life is found by taking on personal responsibility. A good starting point is probably his "12 Rules for Life".
