"Everyone that has intellectual honesty knows that"

If we are into intellectual honesty, then North Korea does not match any features of Socialism or Communism I've ever read or heard of.

Tt is a totalitarian absolute monarchy bordering on "worship god emperror"

I did not claim opposite. NK does not have a free market nor a liberal government, period. Dont know about the exact category of their government but their economical system seems like text book Socialism to me.
Besides, IMHO Only rich countries can afford Socialist governments, otherwise it ends up in misery.

I'm referring to Socialism as it's author intended. Precise language is a feature not a bug, and helps cut down on misunderstandings and needless confusion/arguments.

Calling a free market welfare state, socialist, is like saying 'literally' when you literally meant 'figuratively'. Without vocal cues or meaningful context, you'll be misunderstood.

This reads like it was written by an undergrad who just took Socialism 101. Flagged for being tripe as much as for being off-topic.

>>If you want to read up on the modern advances in Socialist economy, I'd recommend looking at Paul W. Cockshott's Towards a New Socialism; to dismiss it without doing this research reeks of laziness or worse dishonesty.

Not really. I'm sure Socialism looks great in book form, but the implementation has never worked. I'm more interested in the reality than the theory.

> Someone should write an updated book on Socialism for the rich

This article is from the Cato Institute, who have had a major focus on corporate welfare for many years. Here are 309 results from them on that topic:

https://www.cato.org/corporate-welfare

Here's their review of a six year old book about it:

Spoiler: They don't think it's a good idea.

> Anybody wrote a book on trickle-up economy yet?

Yep it's called 'The Communist Manifesto' by Karl Marx. [1]

Further:

'Socialism: Utopian and Scientific' by Friedrich Engels [2]

and

'Wage Labour and Capital' by Karl Marx [3]

Except that socialism will always fail due to the lack of information problem. Mises explained this logically and consistently in 1922 in his book "Socialism". He further predicted that all socialist systems will end with totalitarianism. The idea that "the people" should vote and have a say on how a business should be run (one where they have no vested interest) is ridiculous. Democratic socialism is bankrupting every country where people can vote themselves benefits.

Someone should write an updated book on Socialism for the rich, Corporate Socialism, regulatory capture, funding of politicians to get government benefits, the political funding cycle and revolving door, politicians cashing in after leaving office, and the DC gravy train of the military industrial complex.

It is sending taxpayers money to the rich through multiple mechanisms like tax subsidies for mortgages, bank bail outs, government guarantees of different financial instruments (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac etc..) etc....

A classic:
