Super Thinking: The big book of mental models, Weinberg and McCann

Thinking in Bets, Annie Duke

How to Decide, Annie Duke

Asking the right question: A guide to critical thinking, Browne & Keeley

Thinking in Systems, Meadows

They are totally complimentary. 7 Habits concentrates on "What to do" and GTD concentrates on "How to do it."

There are two other excellent "self-help" books that should be part of everyone's bookshelf. They are:

* "Getting to Yes" which I think is the greatest book on negotiation. "How to deal"
* "Sources of Power" by Gary Kline talks about how people make decisions. "How to decide"

Give me these four books, and a firm place to stand, and I will move the world.

There's a book called "how to decide" by Annie Duke that has some good advice on how to inspire this type of thinking.

For example, one of the ideas is the "doctor evil" or "imposter" game.

(1) Imagine a positive goal.

(2) Imagine that Dr. Evil has control of your brain, causing you to make decisions that will guarantee failure.

(3) Any given instance of that type of decision must have a good enough rationale that it won’t be noticed by you or others examining that decision.

(4) Write down those decisions.

Someone elses notes from this book: https://wisdomfromexperts.com/why-you-must-use-negative-thin...

"Getting to Yes" is basically "How to Deal."
"Sources of Power" is "How to Decide."

My lack of formatting skill makes it look like there are four books instead of two.
